July 1982. The Platt family lives in the suburbs. One day, strange phenomena begin to occur in their quiet neighborhood: at night, something rattles and flashes, a bizarre plant grows in the neighbor’s yard, and in the neighbor’s yard — a huge pile of excrement. Then a blackout occurs, and when the Platts wake up in the morning, they discover that their neighborhood has somehow been transported hundreds of millions of years back in time, and now hungry dinosaurs are roaming the streets.
