Ted Lasso, the college football coach at Kansas, is an irrepressible optimist, a beloved figure, and a YouTube star. When the new owner of a small-town English football club decides to use him in her devious plans, she offers him the position of head coach, hoping that he will destroy the club. Despite his lack of knowledge about the sport, Ted takes on his new responsibilities with his usual enthusiasm.
