Why does the protagonist of this film come to the strip club “Exotica” every day and invite the same dancer, dressed as a little girl in a school uniform, to his table for $5? A photograph of a girl in the same uniform hangs in his home, where a babysitter (nanny) comes — also a girl, but older — to look after his daughter, who, as it turns out, has been gone for two years — she was murdered.
