During a mission in the border area, Major Batra meets a local girl named Reshma. Reshma idolizes Batra, and he soon becomes attached to her. After a short while, the two decide to get married. However, terrorists who seek revenge for Batra's failures in recent years orchestrate a terrorist attack during their engagement, and Batra miraculously survives, but Reshma's body is never found.
