The year is 1988. An ordinary and unremarkable businessman, Oh Dae-soo, gets drunk on his way home on his daughter's third birthday, starts bullying, and naturally ends up at the police station. A childhood friend takes him from the police station under his own protection. While he is calling the wife of an unlucky drunk, Oh Dae-soo disappears.
