14‑year‑old Shizuku lives in Tokyo, spends all her free time reading, and sometimes writes poetry. One day she notices that a certain Seiji has borrowed all the books in the library before her. It turns out to be a boy from a parallel class, and at first Shizuku doesn’t like him at all. Gradually they grow closer, and Seiji’s ambition to become a violin maker awakens in the girl a desire to find her own dream as well. She begins to make up a story about Baron, a cat figurine from an antique shop.
