Nadia Chudova, a graduate of the Moscow Medical Academy, decides to work at the provincial hospital in her hometown after graduation. Nadia comes across as a bit of a weirdo, but she actually possesses a unique ability to see illness through the lens of synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon that emerged after a traumatic childhood accident. While her unusual abilities aid her in her work, they also attract irony and ridicule from those around her.
