The action takes place in the beta timeline. Rintaro Okabe, having traveled back in time, tried to save his beloved, but instead accidentally killed her. Suffering from post‑traumatic syndrome and feelings of guilt, the guy finds out that there is a program that allows a person’s consciousness to be uploaded into an artificial intelligence. And to his surprise, it turns out that there is a digital version of his deceased girlfriend.
